Alloy and Facebook ID

Hi,

can you please explain what happens if I add my Facebook ID to Alloy? The documentation states:

" FACEBOOK & TWITTER ID
These optional fields allow you to insert your Open Graph Facebook Admin ID and / or your Twitter username. These will only be applied if you supply IDs for these fields."

But it does not tell me what these are doing exactly? Will I get famous overnight? Or sued because of Spam?

It just uses your specific ID for the meta tags. For example Twitter Cards have a creator meta tag to show who created the content. It is optional though, so by default Alloy doesn’t require it. If you like though you can add your IDs and they will be seen by those services as having been created by your ID. If that makes sense. Really not a big deal one way or the other for what Alloy does.
