Alloy Blog editor not showing up

I installed an Allow blog on my site - as I have done on many sites before with zero issue - for some reason the editor is not showing up and therefore the blog doesn’t show up. The little gear icon shows up on the bottom right corner of the editor page but nothing happens when you click on anything. Never had this happened before?

I considered deleting it and reinstalling but I already set up the hashed password etc

I would love some support troubleshooting this issue.

Here’s the site: https://merakiconsciouscreatives.com/blog/

Thanks!!

Hi @DesignCreatrix

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Being that PHP, the language Alloy is written in, is a server-side language we can’t see any of it in the browser to troubleshoot it for you. This is both a pro and a con when it comes to PHP.

Some things to check:

  • Check to make sure the server you’re using supports PHP. I assume it does, but I have to put this one in the list.
  • Be sure you’re using PHP 7.x and not PHP 8.x
  • Try doing a Republish All Files from within RapidWeaver.
  • Walk back through the Quick Start tutorial videos on the Alloy documentation pages to make sure you didn’t skip a step.

If you’re still having problems I will need a copy of your project file to assist further.

To do so create a ZIP file containing your project file. This is the file you open in RapidWeaver to edit your site. After creating the ZIP file, upload it using a service like Dropbox, WeTransfer, Droplr, or a similar service to create download link. You can then send me a Direct Message on the forum and include the download link, or email me at adam at elixirgraphics dot com

Oh, also, and this is an easy one – double check to make sure you’ve included the Alloy Control Center on both the Blog and Editor pages.
