Basic Pre-Sales Questions

Do other stacks work with Foundry, or only the ones included in the bundle?

Specifically, does Formloom and PlusKit work within Foundry?

Which CMS add-ons or stacks work with Foundry, if any?

I’m using all kinds of other stacks with it and they work fine. I use a lot of DooBox and Joe Workman stacks, but prefer Elixir’s if I have a choice. I have a Foundry site using FormLoom 3 and Filter by Yabdab.

Excellent! Thanks!

(Post has to be at least 20 characters. WTF?)

As far as CMS is concerned, I am sure all of them will work, but at least I can confirm that Easy CMS and Total CMS by Joe Workman will work. You can see my test site here
http://www.zeebedesigns.com/foundry-embers-easy-cms/
That uses Elixir’s Embers project file. I only did the home page and did not completely convert that page, but you can edit part of that page on the Admin page.

I am obviously not an expert with Foundry, but it does work! Good luck with your site!

Thank you, Zeebe. Was that Total CMS on the test site?

No, since that site only had text and images, I just used Easy, but if one works they both will.

Just about all 34d-party stacks should work in Foundry. There will be exceptions, of course, as there is with anything.

Any should work. As with other stacks, other CMSes should work fine, too. A couple great ones are Armadillo and Pulse. And for a blog you should give RW/Writer a look. Fits in great in RapidWeaver.

I can certainly vouch for Pulse, Armadillo and Dropkick in Foundry. I’ve tested them and they are fine. Completely “normal” in fact.

Hi zeebe,

Does one need the Foundation Theme and or Foundation Stacks to be able to use Total CMS in Foundry? Thanks for posting the test site.

Thank you,

Billy

I don’t believe Foundation is a requirement for Total CMS. That being said, you can not use Foundry and Foundation in conjunction with one another as they’re both frameworks.

Thanks Adam. I was planning to use Foundry and Total CMS for the blog capabilities.

billym if you want cms and blogging Foundry and Armadillo work fine together -

No, you do not need Foundation for use with TotalCMS and Blog works great with Foundry, when I get a chance, will post an update here with a blog.
