thanks a lot… This did the trick.
So… to recap. If you use an Ec2 Amazon Linux 2 virtual machine to host. You need to install the GD image library and mbstring extension for allloy to work. I did downgrade from PHP 8X to 7.4… but… this probably was not even necessary. If I have the time I will re-upgrade and post here if everything works.
I do not agree that Aws EC2 are not “real” webhost. In the US I am sure you are full of cheap good webhosts… but here in Brazil everything is more expensive. But… I am not at AWS because of price, but I more or less use it (we have two filemaker servers on AWS running)… so I thought it would be a piece of cake to make this work…

Glad you’re all sorted. As I said before — if you run your own server you end up being responsible for a great deal of things that might not be your forte. For me I’d rather spend my time elsewhere and not troubleshooting my server configurations. To each their own.
