Is there a way to disable the Subject field (selection / dropdown)? And why is there no placeholder for the text area field?
Disable it? No, emails require a Subject. Full stop. You can provide a preset Subject though. Give the Form tutorial video a watch. I talk about the different Subject Type settings found in the Form tool’s settings. I talk about this in the documentation for the Subject field as well:
Text Areas are an awkward place for Placeholder text to be honest. In message field for an email form what would that placeholder text read… “Message” ?
I mean that’s fair I guess, but is it adding anything? You can’t give an example of a message your visitor is going to type out to you. The Label text is there for accessibility purposes. Placeholder text is ignored by most screen readers and translator sites I believe.
