Is there a way to add script tags and edit the meta descriptions of blog posts in alloy?

You cannot alter the Alloy meta tags. These are generated automatically appropriately based on the content of the post.

As for custom javascript – that would not be handled by Alloy at all. You’d add the through the RapidWeaver app itself in the custom javascript pane. There’s a page-by-page custom javascript pane in the Page Inspector and a site-wide one in the RapidWeaver Code preferences.
