Newspaper Column Flow

Hi All,

I’m looking for a Foundry stack that will allow news copy to flow from column to column in a newspaper style. Not separate columns of separate content but a continuos flow to the story over two or more columns. Is there a Foundry stack that will work for this?

Hi there @solutionsmacllc!

That isn’t a feature built-in to Foundry or any of its stacks. That being said I’m pretty sure there’s some stacks out there on the RW Community site that do this. Head on over there and give a search and I’m sure you’ll find something.

In the past I’ve used the Columnist stack from Joe Workman to make this happen.

I don’t foresee any problems with that working in Foundry. It likely just uses CSS3’s columns feature for its functionality and shouldn’t be a problem.

Turns out that Columnist is looking for Foundation settings for formatting. I can force the issue but am more inclined to find another stack which offers similar capability.

Will Woodgate released a stack recently that will do just this. It’s under the RWExtras brand (if I remember correctly). The name of the stack is: Gutenberg. Here’s the link:

Columnist works for me, you can see it here in Foundry and Reason, neither of which are Foundation themes.
