I have a few large galleries on my site and the thumbnails of some vertical images are flipped 90 degrees into the horizontal orientation. Any way to fix this?

Did these pictures come from an iPhone by any chance?

A few did, most did not. Many of the images in these galleries
(80+ pics) came from an iPhone. Only ~5 are flipped. Its definitely not isolated to iPhone photos only

What you can test is to open a few of these pictures with preview, rotate them if needed but in any case save every test picture again. Then add them again to shutter.

Just to follow up on @Fuellemann’s excellent help here – this is caused by exif rotation data stored in the image.
