I’ve migrated my gavinheron.com blog to a new server. Everything seems fine (can edit blog posts, can view the front page, all other pages are fine) but I get a 404 error when I click on the specific blog I want to read. I’m sure it is a simple thing that I’ve missed (I’ve checked that the “posts” folder name on the server matches the “posts” folder name specified in the setup). One potential issue is that I can’t see the .htaccess file on the server (so how to recreate?). Thanks and would appreciate any help.
Are you using Pretty URLs for your blog? If so you’ll need to set that up again in your .htaccess file. The instructions are included in the Alloy Control Center as well as in the documentation for the Alloy Control Center.
